Following the guidelines from what the factory did in the 1960's through early 1970's to transform their stock road cars into performance cars, an RGruppe 911 starts with a clean early car and modifies it. There are many ways of interpreting the guidelines, below are examples of a perfectly stock early 911 and one of the most perfect RGruppe 911's owned by co-founder Freeman Thomas.

Here is an absolutely perfect 1967 911S Coupe winning it's class at the Palo Alto Concours. This car is absolutely stunning with it's perfectly stock with 4 1/2-inch wide rims and stock 2-liter motor.

Freeman Thomas' 1969 Hot Rod. Equally stunning for the creativity in which Freeman designed the look of his car; he started with a stock '69 911E and made many modifications for incredible performance and a hot-rod look.
